ACO grease separator flying high
Unusual delivery of a stainless steel grease separator in the Allgäu Alps

What to do when an ACO grease separator is needed for the catering industry at an altitude of 1,932 metres, but the steep access road is unsuitable for heavy loads? Of course: fly in by helicopter! So recently an ACO Lipator-S-RM NS 10 with eccentric screw pumps criss-crossed the bright skies in the beautiful Allgäu Alps to find its final location in the Edmund-Probst-Haus. Built in 1890 as a refuge, the house is located between Oberstdorf and the summit of the Nebelhorn and is currently being rebuilt and modernised so that it can welcome its guests again from 15 August 2021. ACO was given the contract for the wastewater technology there.

In close cooperation with ACO sales, design, purchasing, production, final assembly, logistics, service and the installer, the grease separator was sent on this special journey. In the valley, the stainless steel separator was prepared for its helicopter flight by ACO Service and received with open arms at the top. For its transfer to the rocky cellar, it was dismantled into its segments and reassembled in the installation room.

In the video you can see the spectacular flight of the grease separator through the Alps.
