ACO presents intelligent environmental technology at IFAT
At the world's leading trade fair for environmental technology in Munich, ACO presented system solutions for sustainable stormwater management in water protection and infrastructure at the beginning of June.

National and international visitors came to ACO's 400-square-meter stand to find out about new products in the fields of heavy-duty surfaces, traffic routes and engineering structures, cities and municipalities, stormwater management and water pollution control, and gardening and landscaping. Under the motto "ACO. we care for water", ACO showed the whole variety of innovative and efficient environmental technology with its new solutions.

As one of almost 3000 exhibitors from 59 countries, ACO presented itself for the first time since 2018. IFAT, scheduled for 2020, had been canceled due to Corona. Thanks to an extensive accompanying online program, the international trade audience also had the opportunity to make a virtual visit to the ACO trade fair stand for the first time. Over three days, the ACO team reported on the trade fair highlights in German and in English.

On a large screen at the booth and in augmented reality animations, visitors were able to experience newly developed smart technology for rainwater management that otherwise remains hidden under the asphalt. With the help of modern sensor technology in "smart" sewer covers and the ACO system chain, rainwater can be stored, cleaned, managed and put to good use fully automatically. Instead of directing large quantities of water into the sewer system, it can be put to good use, for example, for watering trees or for street cleaning. The new smart technology aroused great interest among trade visitors at IFAT.

ACO also presented many other new products. One example is the new ACO Powerblock heavy-duty channel in class F 900, a further development from the Monoblock and PowerDrain heavy-duty channels. The ACO Drain®Box, which combines point and line drainage, also made a big splash in Munich. It mitigates flooding hotspots with little effort. Another highlight for municipal road drainage is the new ACO Multitop tops. They form an economical and sustainable solution that breaks new ground in road construction.
